I disagree with the statement because I do not believe the majority of 16 year olds are machure enough to have the responibility of choosing how our country should run. They are not machure enough because they are still in school (year 11) therefore this tells us they are not politically intelligent enough to understand what is best for our country and how our country should be run. It also means they’re 16 years old which means they are going through the process of gcse ‘s. This places huge amounts on pressure on the 16 year old and he or she may not even have enough time to vote as they will be busy revising. If they’re not going to vote there’s no point giving them an option, is there? My last arguementt is that the 16 year olds are still going through pubirty which means they most probably feel like rebelling against society ( which most teens do) therefore telling us they will bad vote choices affecting the vote negatively. Summing up my arguement i disagree with the statement not only because it my opinion but to keep our country run correctly.
